Explore in Johor Bahru Old Town

It's been a long time I haven't explore the JB town.
I parked my car around the OCBC Bank then start to walk thru Wong Ah Fook Road.

Before my journey, I saw this two shop lots was build before the second world war!

And along the streets, you can see many of these decoration lamp.....

At the beginning of Wong Ah Fook Road, this special decoration object appear in front of the JB Custom.

I found many water features along the Wong Ah Fook road build by the local council.

Good rest for the cleaners ......

Within the plant....

This sign stated CCTV camera everywhere (24hrs), but funny! I don't see even one!

And a few of the mobile Police Bit, but......there was nobody there......

After the junction, I walked across to Siu Nam road.

This kind of stall handling by indian are very few nowadays, you can't see it in some new residential area anymore! They are mostly like convenience store you have right now, selling those daily necessity.....

Opposite of this stall, I discovered the new look of 'Coffeeshop'!

Then I explore in Meldrum road......
I cannot recall when was my last time visit this shop.

This is the street where crime happens during night time! Tourist please avoid!

If happens you are around this area, please avoid some hotels like below......

Unless you know what you gonna find inside the hotel........

Some photos along the street......

Merlin Tower - The first commercial tower in Johor Bahru.

Wong Ah Fook road - The busiest road in Johor Bahru town.

You can find hawker foods at most of the back alley here during night time.

The first Theater in Johor Bahru - Broadway Theater (still operating)

Asia Life Building - Johor Bahru.

MCA Building - Johor Bahru

At the end of Trus road.

While waiting to cross the road......

I can see a lot of the building here really need to do something on it. It's dangerous for those who walk pass!

And this funny advertisement.

The weather change very fast and I stuck in the rain for 20 minutes before going back.

Some photos of Linggiu, Johor

I would like share some pictures from Linggiu dam. Group of my friends went there by 4WD and bring back some of these beautiful pictures of the dam.

On 2005, a guy from M'sia found the "Lost City of Kota Gelanggi" (which exist more than 1000 years ago) in this deep forest. You can read the news by searching the key words in Google.
Look at this beautiful serene & breathtaking area!!!

First 23 Hours Coffee Shop at Taman Daya, Johor Bahru.

NB3 Food House (N1°32.763 E103°45.754)
(Located at Jalan Sagu 10, Tmn Daya, Johor Bahru)

I took my breakfast at this new coffee shop this morning. This kopitiam is huge with variety of foods, operate 23 hours per day. (special business hour & the first 'kopitiam' at JB call 'Food House' too!!)

Food stalls : Penang Char Kuey Tiaw, Penang Prawn noodle, Chi-Cheong-Fun, famous Beef noodle, Jawa noodle, Wan-tan noodle......etc.
Beside local and Penang foods stalls, you can find one of the famous Dim Sum stall in JB there too.

I tasted the Jawa noodle, the quality not as good as original Penang Jawa mee......it's only 50% of the comparison. I will taste the rest in the future.

Famous Nasi Lemak Senibong, Johor Bahru - Indah Selalu

N1°29.086 E103°49.041
How to get there : After Permas Jaya bridge, turn right at the first traffic light (Jusco will be at the opposite). After the traffic light, turn left at the first junction and drive about 200 meter.....turn right towards the sea side. You will notice this stall build on the sea.

One of the famous 'Nasi Lemak' in Johor Bahru. The place will pack with peoples during Friday & Saturday evening till 10pm. I visit quite often because it's not far away from my home.
The surrounding has serene view during day time.
Basically, it's a small village along the Straits of Johor, most of villages are native here.

The stall name 'Singgah Selalu' (Means : Drop by always)

Singapore across the straits.....

The business hour : 5:30pm - 12:30am (Close on Monday)

MYR4.50 come with one piece of chicken, fried egg, some vege and Keropok. Beside the signature dish, you also can have some Satay and Ikan Bakar.

Re-visit this restaurant again on 29th Nov 2008.
Some photos for share......

The wooden bridge before you enter the Restaurant.

There were packed of peoples.....Full House!

We waited for about 20 minutes for table.....
Then we started to order our foods.

This was my dinner....

The others restaurant beside this nasi lemak stall also full of peoples.....I never expect this small village is so crowded during weekend.

The scenic night view over Sembawang - Singapore.

Johor Bahru Weather on 2nd JAN 2008

After about a week of sunny day in Johor Bahru, the flood victims have gone back to their howe individually. The hot sunny day has comfort all of them at the moment.......

I was at the OUB Bank - Tmn Molek on 24th Dec 2007 (X'mas Eve). As you can see many peoples are rushing in before the holiday begins. I felt relax and happy with the weather.......
But it won't last long, the rain started to pour in the early this morning (27° C). It will be another wet day.......
Let's just pray hard for the river water level maintain and don't put the hard time for the victims again!!
